Fortaleza, the fourth-largest city in Brazil, is a top tourist destination, it is the capital city of Cear\u00e1\u00a0state in Northeastern Brazil, and it is famous for its warm tropical weather, urban beaches, bustling arts scene, and rich seafood culture. It is also a major economic hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ICUAS \u20192<\/strong>7\u00a0centers around a wide spectrum of topics. However, emphasis is given to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Soft aerial robots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cooperative aerial manipulation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bio-inspired aerial robots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aerial robot aerodynamics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reconfigurable and self-organizing UAVs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-mode unmanned platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learning-based perception, navigation and control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vision-based real-time navigation and control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Online autonomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manned \u2013 unmanned multi-robot teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NextGen UAVs; Environmentally friendly UAVs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Real-time applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Human factors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regulations, policies and safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Round table discussions will complement the technical sessions.&nbsp;<br>In addition to the technical sessions, a twofold objective is:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Industry and company participation for registrees to find out about the current state of technology and of commercially available products for civil and public domain applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding technical requirements and standards that are prerequisite to UAS full utilization and integration into the national airspace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Part of<strong>\u00a0ICUAS \u20192<\/strong>7\u00a0is the\u00a0<strong>UAV Competition<\/strong>. The Competition is student-focused and student-centered, offering unique opportunities for students to test and compare their skills with those of their peers worldwide. The competition is organized in two stages: simulation qualifiers and in-person finals. The finals will take place during the conference, allowing students to meet and participate in the conference, too. Details on how to participate in the UAV Competition are available on the conference website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ICUAS \u20192<\/strong>7\u00a0offers unique opportunities to meet, interact and shape the future of unmanned aviation, worldwide, bringing together technical, regulatory, and legal communities. The conference is fully sponsored by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icuas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICUAS Association, Inc.<\/a>, a non-profit organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CONFERENCE STRUCTURE<\/strong><br><strong>ICUAS \u20192<\/strong>7\u00a0is a \u2018physical presence only\u2019 four-day event. June 14 is reserved for Workshops and Tutorials, while June 15-17 spans the three-day technical conference and the UAV Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IMPORTANT DUE DATES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>February 5, 2027: Full\/Invited Papers, Invited Session Proposals, Workshop\/Tutorial Proposals, Due<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>February 5, 2027: UAV Competition: simulation-based scenario<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>April 23, 2027: Acceptance \/ Rejection Notification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>April 23-30, 2027: Early Registration and Upload Final, Camera-Ready Papers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SUBMISSIONS<\/strong><br>All contributions (papers, invited papers, proposals for invited sessions, proposals for workshops and tutorials) must be submitted electronically through&nbsp;<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/controls.papercept.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/controls.papercept.net<\/a>&nbsp;by the due date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PAPERS<\/strong><br>Paper format (two-column) follows IEEE guidelines. Electronic submission will be handled through PaperCept &#8211; details are available on the conference web site. Submitted papers should be classified as Contributed or Invited Session (max. 8 pages) papers. Accepted papers only will be allowed up to two additional pages for an extra charge per additional page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INVITED SESSIONS<\/strong><br>Proposals for invited sessions should contain a summary statement describing the motivation and relevance of the proposed session, the invited paper titles, and the names of the authors. Authors must submit FULL invited papers. Each paper must be marked as \u201cInvited Session Paper\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WORKSHOPS AND TUTORIALS<\/strong><br>Proposals for workshops and tutorials should contain a title, the list of speakers, and extended summaries (2000 words) of their presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PAPER REVIEW PROCESS<\/strong><br>All submitted papers will undergo a thorough peer review (blind review) process coordinated by the Program Chairs, IPC members, Associate Editors, and qualified reviewers. Each paper will be reviewed by (at least) three qualified reviewers. Each Associate Editor will make recommendations. The Program Chairs will finalize and announce decisions by the due date. Each submitted paper will be checked for originality through the iThenticate Plagiarism Detection Software.
