AWARD FOR BEST PAPER FROM LATIN AMERICA (LATAM)
ICUAS 2024 is pleased to announce the LATAM Best Paper Award in recognition of research and development in Latin America in unmanned aviation.
Submitted papers must include the statement “Consider for the LATAM Best Paper Award”. Papers will undergo a thorough peer review process and will be evaluated by qualified reviewers and an international committee of experts. Evaluation criteria include originality and novelty, technical quality, contributions to advancing the state-of-the-art, and applicability.
1st Place Award: Complimentary Regular Registration for one author to attend ICUAS 2025.
2nd Place Award: 50% Discounted Regular Registration for one author to attend ICUAS 2025.

February 11, 2024: Full Papers / Invited Sessions / Tutorial Proposals Due
April 5, 2024: Acceptance / Rejection Notification
April 20, 2024: Upload Final, Camera Ready Papers
Eligibility Requirements
Papers must be original and not submitted to any other conference/journal. Reported research results and findings must align with the ICUAS 2024 themes and areas of interest. Each submitted paper will be checked for originality through the iThenticate Plagiarism Detection Software. Authors must be affiliated with research institutions in Latin/South America.
Awards Announcement
The LATAM Best Paper Award will be announced during the ICUAS 2024 Awards Ceremony.
LATAM Special Issue in the Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems (JINT)
Authors of all accepted papers that will appear in the ICUAS 2024 Proceedings (and IEEE Xplore) are encouraged to enhance their papers and submit them in JINT. Enhanced papers will undergo a peer review process, and if accepted, they will appear in a Special Issue that will reflect research findings in Latin/South America. The Special Issue Guest Editors and the JINT Editor-in-Chief will recommend waive or reduction of any Article Processing Charges.
